Abstract

Since the introduction of vehicles, engineers are continuously trying to develop and improve the technology, and the federal policymakers are continuously revising and establishing new regulations for the technology. Recently, there was an introduction to new technology that was implemented into vehicles called automation, which is a process that is performed with minimal human assistance. Engineers are faced with two limitations, the Code of Ethics that were set by NSPE and the regulations set by the government. With the public’s safety as the top priority, engineers must continuously try and work to make automation technology in vehicles as efficient as possible.
